Beneath the Surface Painting Series
Portraits painted using the Adobe Illustrator brush tool. Each of the individuals is/was suffering from some affliction: brain cancer, lung cancer, autoimmune disease, depression and thoughts of suicide. Caleb (center)Â was a classmate and friend of mine who was found to have died in his sleep in his dorm room in October of 2016. Michael (far right)Â was the older brother of a good friend of mine who succumbed to brain cancer in late November of 2017.
